Honoring your birth as sacred.

Birth is not just a means to an end. It is sacred, raw, and deeply transformative. You deserve to feel seen, supported, and trusted every step of the way.

As your doula + birth photographer, I bring a familiar face, a grounded presence, and continuous support so that you can relax and be completely present in your birth experience. I will be a reverent witness, capturing your story with honesty and respect as it unfolds so you can remember every powerful and sweet detail for years to come.

Hey, I'm Leslie

Birth is more than a means to an end. It is transformative. I’ve experienced that transformation myself, and witnessed it again and again with my clients - no matter how their birth unfolds. Your birth story matters, and it deserves to be honored and remembered.

With me, you don’t just get support or professional documentation — you get both: a doula who holds space for your journey, and a photographer who documents it with reverence.

"I can't imagine ever having a baby again and not having Leslie there"

It makes telling my birth story really special to be able to show the pictures of what was happening while I tell people about it. I would recommend Leslie to anyone."

"birth is the biggest life event, why wouldn’t we capture it?"

Leslie captured our dream birth perfectly. She was the perfect energy in our home, exactly what we had envisioned. Would recommend this to anyone on the fence about it- birth is the biggest life event, why wouldn’t we capture it?"

"I depend on the photos to remember"

I couldn’t see my labors without her. She is such a critical part of birth and delivery. I depend on the photos from my last baby as I was put under for a c-section and I have no memories of the hours post delivery, only photos.

FAQ

When should I hire a doula / birth photographer?

The sooner the better. Most families hire their doula and/or birth photographer by the second or beginning of the third trimester so we have time to get to know each other, build your birth plan, and prepare for your experience.

Because birth timing is unpredictable, I only take 2–3 births per month to ensure every client receives the presence and attention they deserve. If you’re considering doula support, reaching out early helps secure your spot.

If I have a doula, what will my partner do?

I’m here to support both of you. My goal is to help your partner feel confident, included, and prepared, so they can show up in the ways you need most. I don’t replace partners—I empower them. I know birth really well, and they know you really well - so together, we make an excellent team to support you through the birth process.

Are you certified?

Yes. I hold multiple certifications as both a birth doula and birth photographer.

I am also a Monitrice-in-Training with Whapio & The Matrona. I am a lifelong learner, and birth is truly my passion and calling.

I also believe wholeheartedly that certification isn’t what makes a doula effective.

Birth work is rooted in intuition, presence, attunement, and the ability to tune into the unique needs of each client in each moment. It's also a relationship - and the connection you have with a particular doula is far more important than their certification.

When do we call you to join us in labor?

It depends on your needs, your previous labor history, and what you've hired me for.

In general, as your doula I will come to support you as soon as you're ready for me. Until then, I am available for text/phone support from the time you hire me through the first few weeks postpartum.

If you hire me for photography/video only, I will come when your labor pattern is well established. If you are unable to talk on the phone and your partner needs to make the call, that's probably a good sign it's time for me to come!

We discuss this question at length during your prenatal meeting with me.

How much does it cost to hire a doula / birth photographer?

I have different packages available depending on what services you're most interested in. My birth doula services start at $1,850, and birth photography starts at $1,950. Hiring me for both services gives you the biggest savings!

About 99% of my clients take advantage of my interest-free payment plans or a registry option. The cost of doula services can sometimes be reimbursed by insurance and/or Carrot, as well as qualify for FSA/HSA under certain circumstances. Please let me know if you have any questions about these options!

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! About 99% of my clients utilize my interest-free, flexible payment options. I typically ask for a $500 retainer to secure your due date, and the rest can be paid in equal weekly, biweekly, or monthly installments.

Do you travel?

I travel outside of Lincoln for a limited number of clients per year. Please reach out to see if your due date and location is available for travel!

Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?

Yes—wholeheartedly. I am an inclusive doula who supports all families with respect, love, and awareness of the unique challenges marginalized populations can face—especially in medical settings. Your identity, your family structure, and your story are honored here. You are safe, supported, and celebrated.
